Administrative Tools
The Administrative Tools module allows you to define the behaviour of Connect as well as the look-and-feel of Connect for the users. All aspects of the application configuration are performed using the Administrative tools.
Note: The Administrative tools are only available to users that have the appropriate administrative permissions to access them. For more information on user permissions, please see User Management. The configuration and administration of Connect is performed in three components:
Company Admin: The Company Admin collection of functions manages the configuration of Connect as it pertains to the company entity within Connect. Company instances can be configured in Connect for permissions and behaviours that are different for various organizations in your company. Company-specific configuration includes the behaviour of campaigns, managing of inbound messaging to Connect, outbound messaging and deliver as well as user management.
Note: If your instance of Connect is being used in multi-tenant modethen there will be several company instances sharing the single Connect instance.Deployments: The Deployments tab is used to administer the application, database and content servers in the Connect deployments. These deployments are divided into the inside and outside nodes.
Instance Admin: The Instance Admin tab is used to configure the instance (or Connect-wide) information that determines the underlying behaviour for every company instance such as system quiet periods, domain and SMPP configuration and event handling.
