Event-Triggered Campaigns - Content Tab - Link Analysis

The Link Analysis tab is where you verify links to your content, merge tags, and image links. Connect checks the links and displays the number of valid and invalid links. You should not use the content record in a campaign until the Link Analysis screen shows that all links are valid.

There are several different ways to check content.

  • Validate or recheck all links, tags, and images in the corresponding section.

  • Click a content link, such as the HTML Content link in the illustration.

  • Click a recheck links, recheck tags link, or recheck images link on one of the rows.

When you click a content link, a table appears displaying a link, whether the link is valid or invalid, and gives you the option to define inferred interests for each link.

Validate Tags

Tags, if used, are automatically validated. When you click a link in the Tags section—such as Subject, Sender Name, [HTML/XML] Content—a table appears. The columns in the table are Merge Tags and Status.

If any of the tags are invalid, you must fix them, then go back to the Link Analysis screen and click the recheck all merge tags link.

Add Link Information

There are several places in Connect where inferred interests can be added. In Link Analysis, you can associate inferred interests with a specific link. Follow these directions add one or more inferred interests.

  1. From the Link Analysis screen, click the [HTML/XML] Content link. A table appears with link information.

  2. In the Link Validation section, click the Link Information images/download/attachments/56624041/inferred_interest_icon.png icon. The Link Information fields replace the table.
