The Departments entity provides an additional layer of organizational access and restriction that your organization can use to delineate different users business access. Departments can be created to mirror organization departments such as Marketing or Executive, a specific campaign or collection of campaigns or a job function in the organization. This is done by having users as well as objects such as campaigns to departments. Though used throughout the application, departments are associated to a single security profile.
