Configuring System Parameters

This section provides information on how to configure the system parameters for the Refer-a-Friend feature. On the user interface, navigate to Instance Admin | System Parameters. You can refer to the following table for more information on configuring the system parameters. For more information on system parameters, please see Managing System Parameters.

102: TR.InviteFriendFormURL	Category: Network Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to specify the URL for the Refer-a-Friend form. This form can be cached at the Tracker side based on the system parameter value.The Refer-a-Friend form and the Thank-you pages must be in plain HTML and not JSP or ASP pages. Make sure that this URL is accessible from the Tracker node.
103: TR.InviteFriendSucessPage	Category: Network Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to specify the URL for the Refer-a-Friend Thank-you page. This page can be cached at the Tracker side based on the system parameter value.
108: TR.SubscribeOptInDefaultText	Category: Network Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to specify the content to be sent to the customer when the Refer-a-Friend pages are not available.The following is the sample HTML content: ‘<HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> Service unavailable </TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <H4> Sorry, this service is currently unavailable. Please re-try later. </H4> </BODY> </HTML>’.
100: TR.InviteFriendPageCacheReloadInterval	Category: Network Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to specify the time period to reload the Refer-a-Friend pages in the Tracker cache. For example, you can enter 10 to make the Tracker refresh the Refer-a-Friend form and Refer-a-Friend Thank-you page every 10 minutes from the content server and store it in cache.You can enter 0 to disable the Tracker caching and 9999 to cache the pages indefinitely.
109: PR.ValidateReferringCustomer	Category: Database Access Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to enable or disable the Profiler from validating the referring customer prior to accepting referrals.The Profiler will have the additional overhead to validate the referring customers.
110: PR.SubscribeReferredCustomer	Category: Database Access Level: Advanced	Use this system parameter to subscribe the referred customer to the corresponding conversation.
