Loading Data

After data is extracted and transformed, it is loaded into the Connect database. Loads start automatically if you schedule them within a session or batch of sessions. Loads can also be started on demand, using the Server Manager. To start a load on demand, select the session or batch and select Server Request, Start.

Loading data from the ETL staging tables to the Connect tables is triggered automatically by a post-session command.

You can use the Server Manager to stop a session or batch by selecting Server Request, Stop, or Server Request, Abort.

To monitor the loading process:

The Server Manager lets you put the server into Monitor mode by selecting Server Configuration, Monitor. The Monitor window appears. It displays all loads currently scheduled or running.
To refresh the Monitor window, choose one of the following two options:

  • Select Server Request, Session Overview to refresh the window once.

  • Select Server Request, Start Polling to refresh the window every ten seconds.

To view information about a session that is currently running, select Server Request, Session Details.
