Copying (Cloning) Surveys
Once a survey is created, you are able to create an identical copy of the survey. This is particularly useful when you wish to create a survey that is similar to an existing survey. This can also be useful when a survey is very large and complex and a new survey or version of the existing survey needs to be created that is similar to the survey. You are able to copy and edit the survey as necessary. For more information on editing surveys after copying a survey, please see Editing Surveys.
Copying a Survey
To copy an existing survey:
Navigate to the Surveys screen.
Click on the Clone Survey icon (
) beside the desired survey. The survey is copied and displayed in the survey list.Note: The naming convention for the copy of the survey is the full name of the survey with an appended "_#" following the survey name.
For example, the copy of the survey named "New Survey" would be "New Survey_1".
Copying "New Survey" again would produce the name "New Survey_2", since it is the second copy of "New Survey".
Copying the survey named "New Survey_1" would produce the copy "New Survey_1_1".
